Clinical Supervision

Clinical Supervision

Clinical supervision can be a powerful and effective process to help professional staff reflect on their practice with the support of a skilled supervisor. It can also help aid achievement of the core dimensions within the NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework (KSF) for staff.

  • Communication
  • Personal & People Development
  • Health, Safety and Security

  • Service Improvement
  • Quality
  • Equality and Diversity

Key areas explored within Clinical Supervision

Clinical supervision is an invaluable and essential element of delivering safe and effective reflective practice. Supported by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the Care Quality Commission and the General Social Care Council, clinical supervision is considered a vital element across healthcare and social work provision.

Effective clinical supervision is about creating protected thinking time and this helps to aid critical reflection and supports transformation in the workplace.  Getting the relationship right is important for clients to develop with enthusiasm and confidence. My Own Mentor Ltd offers employers a range of strategies to embed clinical supervision in the workplace.
