Jon Wheater
RGN, RSCN, ENB 405 (Special and Intensive Care of the Newborn), ENB 998 (Teaching and Assessing in Clinical Practice), BSc (Hons) (Child Health), MA (Clinical Education), NMC Nurse Teacher, QCF Assessor, Mental Health First Aider
Spanning almost four decades, Jon has held a range of senior nursing and management positions in areas such as adult nursing, children's nursing, neonatal intensive care, community children’s nursing and palliative care. He is a highly experienced practicing nurse and clinical facilitator with director of care experience in children's palliative care, an appointed Care Quality Commission Registered Manager, a controlled drug accountable officer and a number of named and executive lead positions for safeguarding.
As a senior academic in health and social care, Jon has held director posts in two of the largest and busiest university faculties of health and social care in England. He remains a visiting academic within Higher Education.
Innovative and challenging by nature, Jon is a credible professional. He offers clients a wide range of risk strategy experience, education consultancy, coaching, compliance review and clinical debrief support.
Kevin Mitchell MA (Hons)
Kevin joined Kent Police in 1991. He spent his 30-year career working throughout Kent as well as undertaking secondments in London and overseas with the National Criminal Intelligence Service, the Home Office and the Metropolitan Police.
Kevin spent 18 years as a hostage and crisis negotiator. This commitment was in addition to his ‘day job’ and often meant working protracted hours in all conditions. He delivered negotiator training on the UK’s National Negotiator Course as well as delivering training overseas. As a member of the UK’s international negotiator cadre Kevin was deployable to terrorist kidnap incidents abroad involving UK citizens.
Delivers First Aid at Work, Emergency First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid and Basic Life Support and holds a level 3 AET qualification in training and assessment.
