As a registered centre with recognised awarding bodies, we operate robust internal and external quality assurance processes. We actively maintain and review our systems, policies, and procedures to ensure they remain effective, professional, and responsive to client needs.
To protect the integrity of our services, we reserve the right to refuse applications or bookings where there are reasonable concerns regarding plagiarism, misrepresentation, or professional misconduct.
The learning experience is central to everything we do. For classroom-based training, a minimum of four (4) participants is normally required unless otherwise agreed. Courses will not run with fewer than two (2) learners, except for pre-arranged small-group Basic Life Support updates for healthcare professionals.
1. Privacy and Data Protection
We are committed to protecting your privacy.
We only collect personal information that you voluntarily provide, such as when making an enquiry or completing a booking. The purpose of data collection will always be clear.
We do not sell or share personal data with third parties unless required by law or necessary for service delivery (e.g. certification).
Payment details are processed securely via authorised providers and are not stored by us.
All personal data is handled in accordance with UK data protection legislation.

3. Our Services
We provide education, training, interview preparation, and professional development support.
Our aim is to deliver high-quality, practical, and impactful training. While we provide expert guidance, clients remain responsible for their own professional practice and decisions.
4. Intellectual Property
All course materials, training resources, and website content remain the intellectual property of My Own Mentor Ltd unless otherwise stated.
Materials are provided for personal learning only and must not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without prior written consent.
5. Cancellation Policy
We aim to be fair and transparent in all cancellations.
Client cancellations:
- 10–20 working days before the training date: 50% charge
- Less than 10 working days: 100% charge
All cancellations must be made in writing via email.
Cancellations of any training or clinical support (on-site or at our premises) within 10 working days will incur the full agreed fee.
Learners arriving more than 15 minutes late may be refused entry and will still be charged in full.
Where a minimum group size has been agreed but not met, the full fee remains payable.
We encourage early communication and will always try to support alternative arrangements where possible.
If we need to cancel:
In the unlikely event that we cancel a course, you will be offered either:
- A full refund, or
- Transfer to a suitable alternative date
6. Late Payment
Invoices must be paid within the agreed terms.
Late payments may incur a charge of up to 10% of the outstanding balance.
